QUESTION: "Why can't you just say something like, '$99 to do your resume, with no qualifications or strings attached (no matter what your situation happens to be)'"?

ANSWER: One person's resume-related needs might be met within an hour, while someone else's might take several hours (some situations are quite complex). It really isn't feasible to offer one-size-fits all pricing for something that varies so greatly.

Some service providers do offer these types of menus. This helps them pull in orders but it comes at the expense of the consumer. Such scenarios do not lend themselves to quality work. The service provider is in a hurry to get the job over with. Anyone who makes that kind of offer is not really a pro and not interested in working toward ever becoming one. As in so many other situations in life, "You get what you pay for."

If you want to develop a decent resume at a low out-of-pocket cost, a methodology for doing that is offered on the "Service Details" page. Bottom line, though: If you want a customized, quality resume reflecting a high level of professionalism, you have to be willing to invest a few hundred dollars in the effort. Anyone who charges less is not a pro—and anyone who is not a pro is not going to be capable of doing top-notch work for you.
